The Permissionless Software Foundation (PSF) has built decentralized exchanges (DEXs) on multiple blockchains. This page links to some of those demos.

Unlike a centralized exchange (CEX), there is no signup or user account. Trades take place peer-to-peer, with no intermediary. Unlike other DEXs, sellers run software on their own home computers. There is no smart contract, just the P2WDB (pay-to-write database), which is used to store data as the buyer and sell negotiate a trade. The demos allow Buyers to buy tokens, but Sellers must run their own software. Find out more:

Read Before Entering:

The BCH DEX is a decentralized network for trading SLP tokens on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain. Clicking the button below will take you to a Buyer-only demo. You can browse the market and buy tokens, but you can not sell them. In order to sell tokens, you will need to install software on your home computer.

Optional Information:

The BCH DEX is still in its prototyping phase. The code is rough and prone to bugs. Keep this in mind, and check your expectations.

The DEX is not intended to be operated as a typical '.com' website. It's intended to be operated by individuals, in the comfort of their own home, on a standard computer or Raspberry Pi. To start trading and to find out more, check out the bch-dex GitHub repository.

Ava Labs sponsored a grant to pay for the PSF to fork the bch-dex to the Avalanche X-Chain. Details are available in this report.

eCash DEX

Coming Soon! The bch-dex will be forked to the eCash chain by January 2023.
